Terms

These terms are between you and ARCED International LLC (“we”), which makes DataFlow. By installing DataFlow or creating an account you agree to them. If you accept them for an organisation, you confirm you may do so on its behalf.

Using DataFlow

We give you a licence to install DataFlow and use it for your work while you have a plan or a trial. Licences belong to people, not computers: each seat is one person, who can use DataFlow on their own computers. Seats can't be shared between people. The sample study needs no account or plan.

Plans, seats and the trial

• Monthly: $19 per seat a month.
• Team: $99 a year with 5 seats included; extra seats $4.99 a month each, billed yearly.
• Team starts with a 7-day free trial. If you don't cancel before it ends, the first year is charged when it ends.
• A workspace that pays for a SurveyLoopr server includes one DataFlow seat while it pays for that server.

Prices are shown before you buy, with any tax that applies.

Billing and cancelling

Payments go through Stripe. Plans renew automatically for the same period until you cancel. You can change seats or cancel at any time from your account; cancelling stops the next renewal, and you keep the plan until the end of the period you paid for. If a charge looks wrong, write to hello@letdataflow.com.

When a plan ends

Nothing is locked away. DataFlow becomes read-only: you can still open every project and download everything in it. Choosing a plan again turns the rest back on.

Your data

Your survey data is yours and stays on your computers; we never receive it. You are responsible for having the right to collect and process it (consent, ethics approvals, contracts with your clients) and for keeping backups of your projects.

Checks, suggestions and the AI

DataFlow finds likely problems and suggests fixes; the local AI explains and prepares them. They can be wrong. Nothing changes your data until a person approves it, every change can be undone, and you decide what's correct. DataFlow doesn't promise that data is free of errors.

Fair use

Please don't:

• share a seat between people, or resell or sublicense DataFlow;
• get around the licence check or the read-only mode;
• reverse engineer DataFlow, except as far as the law allows despite this;
• use DataFlow to break the law or other people's rights.

We may end a licence that breaks these terms, after telling you why.

Other services

DataFlow connects to services you choose, such as SurveyLoopr, SurveyCTO and ODK Central. Their own terms apply to them, and we aren't responsible for them.

No warranty, and limits

As far as the law allows, DataFlow is provided “as is”, without warranties beyond those in these terms. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be limited.

Changes

If these terms change, the date above changes, and account holders hear about important changes by email before they apply. Continuing to use DataFlow after that means accepting them.
